One of the most popular actresses in South India, Rakul Preet Singh has starred alongside top stars and was last seen in Tamil cinema this year in Suriya’s NGK. A superstar in Telugu cinema, Rakul Preet’s Manmadhudu 2 in Telugu opposite Nagarjuna released yesterday worldwide and is at present also working on Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming sci-fi venture, SK 14, while also announcing herself to be part of Kamal Haasan’s mega multi-starrer, Indian 2, under Shankar’s direction. That said, a scene featuring Rakul Preet and her female co-star from Manmadhudu 2 has been a subject of debate among fans on social media immediately after they watched the film. In the scene, we see Rakul giving a liplock to Jhansi, one of Nagarjuna’s sisters in the film, with images of the said shot going viral on social networking forums.
The shot has been blurred during the screenings with fans then questioning Manmadhudu 2 director Rahul Ravindran’s wife, Chinmayi, as to whether the specific shot was acceptable while also questioning her if she was the one who suggested such a scene to be placed in the film. It wasn’t a long time back when Manmadhudu 2 was talked about quite a lot after the film’s trailer featured a shot showing Rakul Preet Singh smoking on screen. A romantic comedy, the film also includes Rao Ramesh, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore, Lakshmi, Jhansi among others in supporting roles while Keerthy Suresh is seen making a cameo appearance with music by Chaithan Bharadwaj under the joint collaboration of Annapurna Studios, Anandi Art Creations and Viacom18 Motion Pictures banners.
