Dhanush is teaming up with Mollywood diva Manju Warrier, who is making her Tamil Cinema debut, in his next movie Asuran. Manju Warrier made her acting debut in the 1995 movie Sakshyam and had a great run, being one of the top heroines of Malayalam for quite a few years till she settled down after marriage and quit acting. Her last project then was the 1999 release Kannezhuthi Pottum Thottu! Manju Warrier will be coming together again with director Rosshan Andrews for a new project. This new movie has been titled Prathi Poovankozhi and will be produced by Gokulam Gopalan, under his Sree Gokulam Movies banner. This new movie is said to be female-centric with Manju Warrier playing the protagonist with Anusree and Grace Antony playing vital roles. The rest of the cast also includes Alencier Lopez and Saiju Kurup. Rosshan Andrews, who last helmed the Box Office blockbuster Kayamkulam Kochunni, with Nivil Pauly and Mohanlal in the lead, was supposed to direct another big budget movie but started work on this project.
The big news on Prathi Poovankozhi is that the team are planning to complete the shooting in a single schedule of 40 days, in Kumarakom. The movie has gone on floors today. Gopi Sundar has been roped in to compose the music for this movie, while Sreekar Prasad will handle the editing. Meanwhile, Manju Warrier has a number of other movies in hand, including Jack and Jill, Asuran, Kayattam and Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham!
