Actress Mallika Sherwat was summoned by the court in connection with a case filed by Narendra Tiwari. The petition claimed that the actress danced in a obscene manner, at a five star hotel for a New Year bash in 2006. The applicant claims that he came across the video on TV recently, which was very embracing and should be a considered as a punishable offense. However, Mallika was later given a bailable warrant in the case. The actress earlier requested to dismiss the case at the high court, however her plea was rejected.
