A leading name in Malayalam cinema in the last few years, actor Dulquer Salmaan has carved a niche for himself in the film fraternity as a powerhouse talent, while also garnering massive praise among Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi audiences in recent times. Currently, the talk of the nation, the actor has attained the status of becoming a pan-Indian star after being a Malayalam superstar and a South Indian sensation by starring in several notable hit films that have tasted massive box office success and critical glory. With Dulquer gaining a massive fan following after his performance in the blockbuster Telugu film Sita Ramam, we now look back at a few other recent hit films of the actor in other languages in the list below: 

KANNUM KANNUM KOLLAIYADITHAAL (2020) - Tamil

This rom-com caper film by debutant Desingh Periyasamy was released in February 2020 and weeks before the coronavirus pandemic hit around the world. Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal or KKK, as the film is called by fans, had Dulquer and VJ Rakshan playing close buddies and also con artists, who get duped by Ritu Varma and Niranjani Ahathian posing as their lovers, with the four then sharing the reasons for their motives. The film was also dubbed in Telugu and received a huge response during its short theatrical run before being lapped up by audiences after its release on Netflix. 

KURUP (2021) - Malayalam

Dulquer's 2021 release, Kurup in Malayalam, fetched him immense praise for his astute and quick-witted performance, with the film also coming out in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages, and was his first pan-Indian film. Based on India's most wanted criminal Sukumara Kurup, the crime thriller directed by Srinath Rajendran also starred Sobhita Dhulipala, Indrajith Sukumaran, Shine Tom Chacko, and Sunny Wayne, with appreciation coming in for the performances, background score, production design, and characterization. 

SITA RAMAM (2022) - Telugu

This period romantic drama film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi is set in 1964 and revolves around Dulquer as Lieutenant Ram, an Indian army officer serving at the Kashmir border, who receives anonymous love letters from Sita Mahalakshmi, played by Mrunal Thakur, and their love story is shown as a flashback with Rashmika Mandanna as Afreen taking the story forward. Released in theatres on August 5, Sita Ramam also came out in Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages, and hit the right chord with how the love story between Ram and Sita was depicted. 

CHUP: REVENGE OF THE ARTIST (2022) - Hindi

This psychological crime thriller film's story is set around a serial killer, who goes after film critics for their unfair reviews of films. Released recently in theatres on September 23, Chup written and directed by R. Balki had Dulquer playing the role of a florist, with Bollywood actor Sunny Deol as an Inspector General investigating the deaths of film critics, who have been killed under mysterious circumstances. The film has created quite a lot of debate on social media for its interesting premise and has been receiving a good showing in North India.
