Suseenthiran's Maveeran Kittu, which has Vishnu Vishal and Sri Divya in the lead, is a story inspired by a series of real-life events from his village. In an interview to a leading English daily, director Suseenthiran has revealed he has added his own imagination to the incident so the outcome of the real incident is going to be completely different from the story he shows on screen. " It's a village-based period drama, set in 1985. The plot is gripping and at the same time, emotionally driven. In fact, the duration of the film is two hours, and doesn't have scope for comedy, too," he was quoted saying.
