Acclaimed Telugu director Kodi Ramakrishna has passed away today (22/02/2019) at the AIG hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The legendary director was hospitalized with breathing trouble three days back.

Kodi Ramakrishna was from Pallakollu from the West Godavari District and made his directorial debut with Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya in 1982. The director is known for introducing music director Devi Sri Prasad in his film, Devi, in 1999.


He also was the man behind popular south Indian actress Anushka Shetty’s breakthrough film, Arundhati. His last movie was Nagarahavu in Kannada, which was released in 2016.
