Apart from academic excellence, Sathyabama University is also known for coming up with interesting and innovative events to help further the knowledge of their students. This time, the Visual Communication department has brought together a event called LEGEND, which will have leading media personalities conducting sessions on various topics, to help the participants gain more knowledge on media and the various advancements in the field. This three day event kicked off on September 15th with the first session being by director Bharath Bala on Film Making. This was followed by a session on Advertising Photography by the leading photographer Sharad Haskar. The final event on Day 1 of LEGEND was on Indian Cinema - Audience Expectation, by the South Head of UTV-Disney, G. Dhananjayan.
Day 2 of LEGEND has in store some very exciting sessions with the first being on Screen Writing, by Akash, from the University of Pune. This will be followed by a session on Short Films to feature films by the man of the moment - Karthik Subbaraj, himself. Day 2 also has an interesting session on Cinematography Techniques by ace cinematographer Nirav Shah. Stay tuned for further updates on LEGEND!
