Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum on April 24th

Set completely in a small village Muttam on the outskirts of Nagercoil, Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum is the story of two young classmates whose close friendship transforms into love.

A soft, gentle story set in a rural atmosphere, where emotions are very rarely conveyed through words, where confessions are never overt, the film is directed by debutant Rajamohan and introduces two fresh faces in lead roles. The male lead isRamki, whoearlier worked under director Cheran. According to sources, the director saw him at a function and offered Ramki a chance to assist him in the project. It was only after finding him to be dedicated did the director seek S.P. Charan's approval to cast him in the film.

The female lead is played by Tharshana, who is a third year medical student hailing from Andhra Pradesh. Tharshana was chosen from over 500 other contestants for her innocent face and simple girl-next-door image.

Music is composed by Yuvanshankar Raja, who has comewith some excellent scores which have a rural feel after Paruthiveeran. The 'koothu' song is supposed to be the highlight and is expected to be a huge hit with youngsters.

Other crew members include Sidhdharth as cinematographer, art by Vidwesh and lyricsby Padmashree Kavignar Vaali and Gangai Amaren. The film is produced by S.P. Charan of Capital Film Works Pvt. Ltd. who has decided to produce a different movie with a rural touch after the success of Chennai 600028!

The film is set to hit screens on 24thApril, 2009.
