Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, which is a biopic of the Karnataka freedom fighter Sangolli Rayanna, is facing troubles even before its release. A duet song, which has been recently shot for the movie, has irked the inhabitants of Sangolli village. The villagers claim that the duet song is not essential for a historical movie. They also claim that the song has depicted the freedom fighter in a wrong manner showing him riding horses in it. The village people strongly claim that Sangolli Rayanna doesn’t know how to ride a horse.

On being quizzed about this issue, the film’s lead Darshan said that the movie will not hurt the sentiments of anyone. He also said that people should watch the movie, in order to comment about the movie. He further added that he will rectify the mistakes, if anything has been depicted against the freedom fighter.

The film’s scriptwriter Kesavditya said that the movie has been shot after conducting a research about the freedom fighter. He also said that Sangolli Rayanna is proficient in horse riding, according to the literary sources. He asked the Sangolli people to comment on the film, only after watching the movie.

Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, directed  by Naganna, is said to be one of the most expensive films produced in Sandalwood with a whopping budget of over Rs. 25 crores.
