The star cast includes Superstar Rajinikanth, Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nassar. Kochadaiyaan is produced jointly by Eros International and Soundarya. A.R. Rahman is the music director and Rajiv Menon is the cinematographer.
