The one film fans around the nation are waiting with bated breath is the highly-anticipated period action drama, K. G. F: Chapter 2, which will see Kannada superstar 'Rocking Star' Yash reprising his role as Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka. Rocky. Directed by Prashant Neel under Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films banner, KGF 2 recently wrapped up filming, with plans for the film's teaser announced a while back to come out on January 8 at 10:08AM on the occasion of Yash's birthday. As the wait for the KGFChapter  2 teaser will come to an end in four days, director Prashant Neel, including the makers have now released announcement posters and a new still of Yash from the film. 

Sharing the new image of Yash from KGF: Chapter 2, Prashant Neel captioned his tweet, "The countdown to the opening of the empire door begins now! #KGFChapter2TeaserOnJan8 at 10:18 AM on @hombalefilms". As a follow-up, Hombale Films shared promotional posters in the form of newspaper cuttings from the bygone days and wrote, "Reliving the Era of KGF #KGFTIMES #KGFChapter2TeaserOnJan8 at 10:18am on @hombalefilms YT Channel." It is to be noted that no visuals from the film have so far been shown to fans, with expectations sky-high since the announcement came out some time back. Check out the tweets below: 

Fans await to witness a ripper of an action feast in the upcoming sequel as KGF: Chapter 1 released in 2018 went on to become the highest-grossing Kannada film of all-time. Fans around the country were also surprised at how engrossing the first film was after being released on Amazon Prime Video in Tamil Hindi, Telugu and Kannada languages, with the hype for the sequel coming out later this year since then only getting bigger. Although KGF 2 was initially announced to come out in October last year, there is no word on when the film's release will be, with speculations doing the rounds that it will hit theatres as a summer treat. 

KGF 2 will see Yash's Rocky squaring off against the Adheera character that was teased in the first film, with veteran Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt cast in the role. Actress Srinidhi Shetty is reprising her role as well as the female lead, with Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag, Archana Jois, Vasishta N Simha, Avinash BS, Achyuth Kumar, Balakrishna returning to their original roles, while Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon, Saran Shakthi are the new big additions to the cast.
