Last year saw one of the biggest blockbusters in Kannada cinema’s history after the first installment in the two-part series, K.G.F: Chapter 1, hit screens with K. G. F: Chapter 2, set to follow suit soon. To be directed once again by Prashanth Neel under Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films banner, KGF: Part 1’s lead star, Yash, will be reprising his role as Raja Krishnappa Bairya 'Rocky' with Srinidhi Shetty playing the female lead. Likewise, the much-hyped Adheera character to be featured in KGF: Part 2 was revealed to be none other than Bollywood superstar, Sanjay Dutt. During a press interaction with the media, Sanjay Dutt stated that, "Adheera is an extremely dangerous character and is just as threatening and menacing as Thanos in the Avengers films,".
KGF: Part 1 focused on Yash as Rocky Bhai after his arrival in Bombay in the 1960s along with his mother. After she passes away, he makes it his life mission to attain power and wealth; while also involving himself with the gold mafia there, which eventually gets him to being recruited to bring down Garuda in the Kolar Gold Fields. Considering the first film performed in its dubbed versions as well, KGF: Part 2 will also most likely be coming out in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam languages as well.
