Popular Malayalam director Rosshan Andrrews was accused of assaulting noted producer Melwin Antony after breaking into his residence last week in Kochi. The police have registered a case against Andrrews and his friend Navas following a complaint from the producer, who accused Andrrews of attacking him and family friends. Following the incident, the Producer's Association have put a ban on Andrrews.

As per latest updates, Rosshan Andrrews has been granted interim bail by the Kerala High Court today. But, the director dismissed charges against him saying that he has been made a victim.

He told media that Melwin Antony's son John Antony had worked under him as an asistant director in Manju Warrier movie, How Old Are you. But John, who was a drug addict was later thrown out from the movie due to his bad habits, said Andrrews adding that John began to spread rumours about him which later led to the scuffle. Andrrews said Melwin had beat up him and his friend when he visited the producer to tell him about the wrong doings of John.
