'Thalapathy' Vijay and 'Thala' Ajith are two of the biggest stars in Tamil cinema with a massive fan following, who have in recent years been often engaging in heated discussions on social media. Likewise, a toxic fan war was seen yesterday when a few select Ajith fans began trending the hashtag, "#RIPActorVijay", on Twitter. Soon after, the hashtag topped the India trends, which eventually garnered a huge uproar from Vijay fans, many followers of Ajith including the neutral audience. With many expressing their disappointment over the behavior of these few fans, actress Kasturi Shankar, who is quite active on the social networking platform put forward a request to both Vijay and Ajith to direct their fans into social service to use their energy and effort for positive activities when they can get any hashtag to trend nationwide.
Ajith and Vijay have some of the most loyal fans with many taking it upon themselves to engage in various social activities as well as stepping in for all those who are in need of help. At present, both stars are busy with their upcoming projects as Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai is hitting screens on August 8 after which he will begin shooting for his much-awaited, Thala 60, from the end of next month. Likewise, Vijay has his Bigil coming out in theatres this Diwali in October after which his highly anticipated, Thalapathy, will roll into production soon in the next few months.
