Actress Kasthuri has been a prominent face in south Indian cinema for nearly three decades after making her debut in films in 1991.
Kasthuri has gone on to star in films across all south Indian languages with her fame at its greatest heights in Tamil.
Her last major role in Tamil was in last year’s Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan starring Simbu in the lead role.
Kasthuri has been known to be an outspoken person and has voiced out her views on several current issues facing our society.
Not only has she participated in various TV debates, the actress is also quite active on her Twitter page where she addresses many issues as well as engages in conversations with fans.
Meanwhile, as the nation is still reeling from the demise of iconic actress Sridevi Kapoor, Kasthuri took to her Twitter page to make a sarcastic statement against the barrage of coverage by the news channels.
In her tweet, Kasthuri has questioned the amount of coverage news channels have allotted over Sridevi’s death. She further went on to post a query as to what these TV channels would do if Bollywood actor Sunny Leone passed away.
All the news channels are showing songs and clips of Late Sridevi

Although Kasthuri has asserted the tweet is a Facebook forward she had come across, fans have not taken it in a positive stride.
It must be noted Kasthuri too was left in shock upon hearing the news of Sridevi’s death and immediately shared her tributes on Twitter.
