Karthick Naren takes a dig at Gautham Menon, yet again!
We had just reported earlier today that Gautham Menon was finally getting a breather from all his financial issues with Dr. Ishari K Ganesh's Vels Film International taking over the release of the long pending Enai Noki Paayum Thota, with Dhanush and Megha Akash in the lead. Now, the movie is slated to hit the screens for November 29th! Things got even better for GVM fans when he announced that he was also resuming work on the long pending Dhruva Natchathiram and revealed that after post production, the movie would be ready to release in 60 days! He also mentioned that this movie was very "close to his heart", in the tweet itself.
Responding to this tweet, Karthick Naren questioned Gautham Menon and asked him to give clarity on when Naragasooran would release. He sarcastically added that this movie is "very very close to his heart"! The young Karthick Naren burst onto the scenes with a blockbuster hit in his very first movie Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, which had Rahman in the lead. Following this movie, it was announced that he would be directing Naragasooran for GVM's production banner - Ondraga Entertainment. However, after a number of issues and delays and an open spat on Twitter, GVM handed over the movie to Badri Kasturi's Shraddha Entertainment banner and moved out of the project.
Now, the status of Naragasooran is not clear and we are not sure if GVM should be the person Karthick Naren should be questioning, regarding this project. However, the young director has moved on to his next movie - Mafia: Chapter 1, which has Arun Vijay and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead. This movie, is being bankrolled by Lyca Productions and has Prasanna in the antagonist's role. Jakes Bejoy is scoring the music while Gokul Benoy is handling the cinematography and Sreejith Sarang is taking care of the editing. Let's see how this new Twitter war shapes up! Stay tuned...
