We are pretty excited about jyothika and karthi's new movie - for the reason that this would be the first time for the in-laws to share screen space. Now we hear that the movie will have more than two stars rubbing shoulders. Legendary Sowkar Janaki will have a part in the movie, which is yet to be named. Sowkar Janaki, who at 87 is the Indian actor with the longest career record yet was last seen in the 2016 Telugu film Babu Bangaram.
Sowkar Janaki is a well known name in the Tamil industry following her memorable roles as a leading actress in movies like Naan Kanda Sorgam, Kaviya Thalaivi, Bhagya Lakshmi, Oli Villaku, Ethir Neechal, Maanavan, Uyarndha Manidhan, Nimirndhu Nil, and many more. Sowkar Janaki also played many supporting roles inhit movies like Thee, Thillu Mullu, Vetri Vizha and others.
Though the movie is yet to be named, we do know that it is a crime thriller. Jyothika and karthi will be siblings in the movie which also has veteran Sathyaraj and noted Malayalam actor Ansen in significant roles. RD Rajasekhar will be behind the camera and the music is by Vasantha. Director Jeethu Joseph is no stranger to the genre of thriller - his debut – Drishyam – was a widely acclaimed thriller. He had debuted in Tamil with Papanasam, the remake of Drishyam that had Kamal Haasan in the lead role.
