Kannamma Pettai

Chanakya and Chandragupta Maurya have always fascinated millions of Indians. Their combination is quite interesting – a formidable combination of brain, brawn, and valour which won many kingdoms and brought a huge change in the society. Kannamma Pettai is something similar to the Chanakya-Maurya story. The only difference here is that the protagonists bring about a change in a small area called Kannamma Pettai. Saikumar plays the brainy guy who joins hands with the brawny Lakshmikanth (newcomer) and together they form a splendid team.

People who love to see films based on camaraderie will enjoy this film very much. R. Sampathkumar has penned the story and screenplay, and also takes care of the direction. The film’s screenplay is definitely one of its strengths since Sampath had spent a great deal of time working on it, paying attention to details and making it more interesting everyday. Stunts are said to be one of the film’s highlights; Jaguar Thangam choreographs the stunts of Kannamma Pettai.

Apart from this there is one more attraction – the film’s heroine Sindoori and Aisu, who add glamour to the film. The supporting cast includes Nasser, Ponnambalam, Sathyan, Kanja Karuppu, Aarthi, Bonda Mani, Suruli Manohar, Vijay Ganesh.
