Breaking: Latest update on Kamal Haasan's Indian 2!
The month of November is very special for the fans of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan for he celebrates his birthday on the 7th of this month! This year's birthday has been very special for Kamal Haasan. On the 7th of November, Kamal Haasan and his family were gathered at his hometown Paramakudi for the unveiling of his father Srinivasan's statue. Kamal had just wrapped up shooting for his portions in the Gwalior schedule of Indian 2 and returned for the statue unveiling and the new Raaj Kamal Films International office inauguration in Chennai while the rest of the team continued to shoot there. Now, we have an update on Indian 2!
Our sources close to the movie's unit state that the entire Indian 2 team is now back in Chennai. The exact date of the next schedule has not been planned yet but all subsequent schedules for the next 3 months would happen in Chennai only! Indian 2, directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions, also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Bobby Simhaa, Vivekh and Samuthirakani as part of the cast. We also hear that Vidyut Jammwal is also a part of this movie. On Kamal's birthday, director Shankar wished him with a new still from the movie. This new still showed Kamal Haasan as Senapathi, sporting his trademark khaki uniform, looking down upon a city from a height!
In this year when Kamal turns 65, he also completes 60 years in the Cinema industry! Many celebrations are being planned to felicitate this milestone and an event titled 'Ungal Naan' is scheduled to happen in Chennai, on November 17th! This event will include a performance by Isaignani Ilaiyaraja and Superstar Rajinikanth will also be taking part in the event!
