Actor-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin is a big name in the Tamil film industry. He has churned out numerous great and wonderful hit movies through the banner of his production house Red Giant Movies. He has also made a tremendous contribution to the industry by acting in films as well. He was last seen in the political drama Nenjuku Needhi which was released earlier this year on 20 May 2022.

He is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming film which will be directed by Magizh Thirumeni and bankrolled by Red Giant Movies themselves. Nidhi Agerwal has been reeled in to play the female lead opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin. Earlier today, the makers of the film announced that the title of the film will be released today (July 25). Looks like that time has come.

Red Giant movies have taken to their official Twitter handle and shared the titled of the film – Kalagathalaivan. Sharing the link to their motion poster revealing the title, they wrote, “The title of @Udhaystalin & MagizhThirumeni next is #Kalagathalaivan Here’s the first look”. Check it out:

After this, Udhayanidhi Stalin will be seen in Maamannan. The film will be directed by Mari Selvaraj and will also star Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh, and Vadivelu in prominent roles. Udhayanidhi has also assured that Maamannan will definitely be creating some controversy given the fact that the film has a political connection. In an interview, Udhayanidhi has publicly announced that Maamannan will be his last film as an actor as it seems quite hard for him to balance cinema and politics, and therefore quitting cinema is the way to go.
