Director Lokesh Kanagaraj shot to fame with his very first movie Maanagaram and there has been looking back for him, since! There are a lot of expectations on his second directorial venture - Kaithi, starring Karthi in the lead. Produced by SR Prakashbabu and SR Prabhu under their Dream Warrior Pictures banner, this action thriller doesn't have a female lead. Lokesh Kanagaraj has been hitting the headlines ever since it was announced that he would be directing Thalapathy Vijay in his next movie - Thalapathy 64. Now, the makers of his Kaithi have announced the movie's release plans!

Kaithi release date

Taking to Twitter, Dream Warrior Pictures have released a new poster of Kaithi, mentioning that the movie would be hitting the screens in October. However, a specific release date has not yet been announced. October seems to be a wonderful month for Kollywood, for a number of top movies have decided to have their releases in this month. It is well known that Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil is hitting the screens for this Deepavali, which falls on October 27th. Also, it was announced that Dhanush's Pattasu with director RS Durai Senthilkumar would also be aiming at a Deepavali release. Now, with Kaithi also slated to release in October, there are speculations that this movie would also be releasing on the occasion of Deepavali.

A number of other movies are also releasing in the first week of October, with Dhanush's Asuran being planned for release on October 4th. There are also reports that Sanga Thamizhan would also be hitting the screens in October. Sathyan Sooryan is handling the cinematography for Kaithi, while Sam CS is in charge of the music and Philomin Raj takes care of the editing. The cast of Kaithi also includes Narain, George Maryan, Ramana, Dheena, Yogi Babu, Mahanadi Shankar, Ponvannan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Vatsan and a number of others!
