One of the multifaceted actor Ramesh Aravind was last seen on screen, sporting a guest appearance in the movie Uttama Villain, directed by himself. He's been occupied with the Kannada and Tamil remakes of Queen, Butterfly and Paris Paris, respectively. He's directed a few Kannada movies and now has ventured into the Kannada Television industry as a producer of a show named Nandini.

Television actor, Kaavya  Shastry, who plays the titular role in the Sun TV serial Mahalakshmi, plays a vital role in the Kannada serial Nandini, a supernatural one. And recently, she has walked out of the sets of the same stating that her character, Devasena had lost her relevance. The character is likely to be played by another actor, followed by Kaavya Shastry's leaving.

Nandini is directed by Nitin and has crossed over 600 episodes. It is said that Nandini was the first South Indian serial for having been telecast in all 4 languages by the Sun Network channels. The serial is being aired at 8:30pm from Monday to Friday.
