The entire team of the upcoming movie Kaaviya Thalaivan, directed by Vasanthabalan and starring Siddharth, Prithviraj, Vedhika and Nasser, met with the press today. A host of celebrities were present at the event including, Y Not Studios' Sashikanth, Varun Manian, editor Praveen, art director Santhanam, lyricist Pa. Vijay, cinematographer Nirav Shah, Jai Mohan, Singer Haricharan, Anaika, Vedika, Nasser, Siddharth, director Vasanthabalan and AR Rahman. Talking about the movie's music, composed by AR Rahman, the entire team stated that Rahman's music was one of the biggest advantages for the movie.
The makers of Kaaviya Thalaivan also took this occasion to honour theatre artistes. Producer Sashikanth and director Vasanthabalan honoured five prominent stage artists from our state. A short film about them was also screened. Mementoes were presented to these five senior stage artists by A.R Rahman. The honoured artistes were P.C. Kalaimani, Nellai RR Sriram, Anandhan, Prasad Rajendran and SP Tamilarasan. They were also presented with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, each. A very heartening gesture indeed.
