A film carrying massive expectations and excitement around it, Kaappaan, starring Suriya in the lead role under KV Anand’s direction has been announced for a August 30 release.
Produced under the Lyca Productions banner, Kaappaan also includes Sayyeshaa playing the female lead followed by Mohanlal, Arya, Samuthirakani, Poorna, Boman Irani, Prem Kumar in supporting roles and Chirag Jani as the antagonist with music by Harris Jayaraj.
With a majority of Kaappaan already wrapped up, some key portions are yet to be completed with Chirag Jani, who has now suffered a serious injury while filming for his debut as a hero in the Gujarati film, G, under Mayur Kachhadiya’s direction, which is being planned for a release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English.
The hype surrounding Kaappaan has been tremendous especially post the release of the film's teaser, which had plenty of action and went on to satisfy fans of Suriya, Mohanlal and Arya, who expect a cracker of a treat when it comes out in theatres later this year.
