Yesteryear actress Jayaprada will be part of the Bhojpuri remake of super hit 1993 Telugu film Matrudevobhava, directed by K. Ajayakumar with Madhavi and Nassar in the lead. Jayaprada will reprise Madhavi's role in the remake. Notably, the actress has already worked on couple of Bengali films.
The remake was launched on Monday (September 10) in Hyderabad in the presence of Chiranjeevi and Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. A remake of the Malayalam hit Akashadoothu, Matrudevobhava was also remade in Hindi as Tulsi: Mathrudevobhava (2008), starring Manisha Koirala and Irrfan Khan.
