Jaganmohini: Release confirmed on September 25

Cinematographer-turned-director N.K. Vishwanathan's much awaited bilingual Jaganmohini (also spelt Jagan Mohini), being made in Tamil and Telugu by producer H. Murali under the banner of Murali Cine Arts, has been confirmed for release on September 25. The trade buzz is that Jaganmohini will release in over 500 screens across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Starring sex bomb Namitha, Meera Chopra and Raja in the lead roles, the film recently had the audio launch of its Telugu version at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad. Maestro Ilayaraja is the music director.

A remake of the yesteryear classic Jaganmohini (1978), the modern version will have state-of-the-art special effects and graphics and will feature Namitha as a deep sea diver. The major highlight of the film will be a scene in which glamorous Namitha harvests pearls underwater. Narasimha Raju, the hero in the original version, appears in the new version as the father of the hero.
