Just like any other nation and city, even Dubai was heavily affected by the Corona pandemic, but thankfully things are getting better. When the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic first broke out, the numbers were quite high in the UAE but with the rigorous implementation of Lockdown measures, there seems to be some semblance of control over the outbreak and the Indian government has been fighting hard to control the spread of this deadly virus. In Dubai, the lockdown was relaxed a couple of weeks back and now slowly all the other cities in the UAE have been relaxing their rules.

The malls have been functioning in Dubai with 30% footfall rate and the government has now allowed the theatres to reopen from tomorrow. The first India film to be screened after the lockdown would be the Malayalam film Forensic which had its actual theatrical release in the last week February, 2 weeks prior to theatres shutdown phase. Forensic is set to re-release in cinemas in Dubai from tomorrow, 27th May. Forensic is a psychological crime thriller film written and directed by newcomer director duo Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, starring Tovino Thomas, Mamta Mohandas, Reba Monica John, Renji Panicker, Shafeek Citu and Saiju Kurup in the lead roles.
