One of the most popular names in the entertainment industry, actress Ileana D'Cruz has over the course of her highly-successful career featured alongside top stars in the business in big films. Ileana, who entered cinema in Telugu first, was introduced in Tamil in Ravi Krishna's Kedi, before making a big splash in 2011 in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's blockbuster Nanban directed by Shankar. Prior to Nanban, the actress had already made a big name for herself in Telugu and subsequently over the course of time debuted in Hindi cinema as well in Barfi!, opposite Ranbir Kapoor, which turned out to be a nationwide box office success. Seen in Abhishek Bachchan's The Big Bull that premiered on Disney Hotstar, Ileana in a recent interview to Bollywood Hungama spoke about being a victim of fake news.

Speaking in detail about the rumors of being pregnant and undergoing an abortion, Ileana also cited the false reports claiming she had attempted suicide. She said, "There have been a few. There was one where apparently I was pregnant and had an abortion. It is kind of sad, honestly, that people actually wrote stuff like that. It was bizarre." Ileana added, "There was another where I had committed suicide, not attempted. Very sad. (That) I had committed suicide but I had survived and my maid had confirmed the news. I didn’t have a maid, I didn’t attempt suicide, I was alive… It didn’t make any sense. I don’t even know where they get stuff like that." Back in 2018, Ileana shut down rumors claiming that she was expecting her first child with her then-boyfriend Andrew Kneebone. Taking to her Instagram page, the actress clarified saying she was "not pregnant". Last seen on the big screen in Pagalpanti, which came out in 2019, Ileana has next the social comedy film, Unfair & Lovely, opposite Randeep Hooda under Balwinder Singh Janjua's direction.
