It is Ilaiyaraaja’s usual gesture to pay tribute to the almighty as he attributes his stardom to God. The music maestro has never failed to celebrate his New Year’s day at Thiruvannamalai. But this year Ilaiyaraaja suffered from an illness and the doctors advised him complete rest, so he couldn’t make his annual trip.
Recently, the legendary composer has taken the trip to Thiruvannamalai and even completed the girivalam (walk around the sacred mountain). Ilaiyaraaja is currently working on Rajaraja Chozhanin Porval.
