Blockbuster director Venkat Prabhu's next, the tentatively titled NC 22, with Naga Chaitanya will feature music by the legendary composer 'Isaignani' Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja. The collaboration announced on Thursday, June 23, will mark the musical duo's second outing together after they composed the songs and the background score for 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's Maamanithan in Tamil releasing on June 24. The announcement of Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja joining Venkat Prabhu's next will no doubt come as joyous news for fans everywhere as they await the trio to come up with memorable music. Considering NC 22 will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, we can expect the film's music to have a bigger reach and all sights will be on the duo to deliver a cracker of an album as Venkat Prabhu's ventures usually have a large youth appeal. Announced in April, NC 22 or VP 11 or SSS 10 as it is being called, for now, is kicking off production today and will see Naga Chaitanya sharing screen space with South Indian sensation Krithi Shetty, who has been cast as the female lead.

There has been tremendous buzz surrounding NC 22 right from the moment of its announcement as Venkat Prabhu has been riding the high wave after the stupendous success of his mass masala political entertainer Maanaadu with Silambarasan TR and the black comedy thriller Manmadha Leelai starring Ashok Selvan. As of now, not much is known about Venkat Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's NC 22, but expectations are high that the hit filmmaker will return with yet another big entertainer.
