Composer turned actor GV Prakash Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Kuppathu Raja, on April 5 followed by Watchman under AL Vijay's direction on April 12. He also has several films lined up next namely 100% Kadhal, Jail, Adangathey, Sivappu Manjal Pachai among others in various stages of production.

GV Prakash is also scoring music for upcoming biggies like Asuran, Suriya 38 to name a few and the star recently sat down with Galatta for an exclusive interview to talk about the projects including his Kuppathu Raja and Asuran.

When asked how he managed to take up Aayirathil Oruvan as he was too young to work on the genre, GV Prakash responded he challenged Selvaraghavan saying his music would be better than his direction and would surpass Ramji's cinematography.

GV Prakash quoted saying, "With the perseverance of beating Selvaraghavan, I composed the music for 'Celebration of Life. What’s so magical about it was with Selva’s name, my name is credited in the first place even after 10 years. The music is even magical and didn’t die after a decade." He also went on to credit Ramji as an underrated cinematographer, who has the capability to go to different places with his skills.

When asked about the possibility for a sequel to Aayirathil Oruvan, he swiftly responded saying the decision is not in his hands as it is the people and the producer’s call to make one.
