This lockdown period has made a lot of actors explore their other skills and attempt different things. We saw actors like Shanthnu Bhagyaraj and Aadhav Kannadhasan making their directorial debut by directing a short film each during this lockdown period. Now, one more young talent has joined that list. Yes, music director turned actor G.V.Prakash Kumar has directed a short video, a light-hearted documentary type video that talks about his pet dog, Happy, a Rajapalayam breed. In this video, we see G.V.Prakash narrating his love for dogs and how he decided to buy a Rajapalayam dog.

We also see a glimpse of the young talent training his dog for competitions. As the video featuring Happy is playing, G.V.Prakash narrates, “I’ve always wanted to buy a dog and that too, particularly our own regional breed - Rajapalayam and that is how Happy came into our house. Many people buy foreign breed dogs, but the reality is that they find it difficult to adapt to our climatic conditions. Being our own breed, you don’t have to worry about Rajapalayam. While Russian or German breed dogs can live upto 9-12 years, Rajapalayam can survive for 10-18 years depending on its health.

The expenses for Rajapalayam dogs are also quite less compared to other breeds. Happy has been with us since his baby days and so he’s very affectionate and lovable. He is also a wonderful guardian dog who can protect his owner when there’s a problem. He understands what we say and obeys our commands. That is when I decided to take him to dog shows and the training is happening regularly.” Also, in this video, he reveals that Happy was a gift for him from one of his producers, Saravanan.

G.V.Prakash’s wife Saindhavi and sister Bhavani Sre are also sharing their experiences with Happy in this video and it looks interesting. The video has got a good reception from the fans and it is indeed nice to know about G.V.Prakash’s love for dogs.

On the professional side, G.V.Prakash has various exciting projects including Aayiram Jenmangal, Ayngaran, Adangathey, Jail, 4G, Kadhalai Thedi Nithyanandha, Kadhalikka Yarumillai, Bachelor, Trap City, and an untitled film co-starring Gautham Menon. All these projects are in different stages of production. As a music composer, G.V.Prakash has Soorarai Pottru, D43 with Dhanush and Vaadivaasal with Suriya and Vetri Maaran.
