Producer's Council head Keyaar revealed during the Vaayai Moodi Pesavum audio launch, that Goli Soda and Thegidi are the only two films, which have been a commercial success among all the movies released this year. Though several films have been released this year, only these small bugdet films with new faces have hit the mark. Goli Soda, directed by cinematographer-turned-director Vijay Milton, starred teenagers Kishore, Sree Raam, Pandi and Murugesh of Pasanga fame. The film was widely appreciated by several filmmakers and audiences. While, Thegidi is a suspense thriller starring Ashok Selvan and Janani Iyer in the lead roles. Directed by Ramesh, the film got released in February.
