Gitanjali Jewels puts a smile on struggling mothers
Gitanjali Jewels, which includes brands like Nakshatra, Gili and Asmi, has come out with an innovative method to celebrate Mother's day. As a special initiative, last week the company made a contribution to several mothers whose children are struggling for life (children battling life threatening illnesses) with a precious gift to remember.
The company donated a sum of Rs. 54,609 to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of India, which is an NGO that is dedicated to helping seriously-ill children realise their hearts' desires. Established in 1996, the Make-a-Wish Foundation of India has been engaged in helping children suffering from diseases forget their worries, by supporting them with all that is required to become successful.
The cheque was handed over to the NGO by Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra on behalf of Gitanjali Jewels. Ms. Priyanka Sharma, general manager of Gitanjali Jewel (North), said that the company is happy to be a part of this noble endeavor, and hoped that it will help in supporting children and making their wishes come true.
