Parvathi Menon, who made her Kollywood debut in 2008 with Poo, will next be seen in Mariyaan alongside Dhanush. The actress is so confident about her character and performance in the film, that she believes that her name will change from Poo Parvathi to Mariyaan Parvathi in the mind of the audience.

Being directed by Bharat Bala, Mariyaan features Dhanush and Parvathi Menon in the lead roles. The film has music by AR Rahman and is being produced by Venu Ravichandran under Aascar Films.
