Announced sometime back this year, ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi would be teaming up with National Award-winning filmmaker Seenu Ramasamy for the third time after their Thenmerku Paruvakaatru and Dharma Durai for the film titled Maamanithan. To be produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja under his YSR Films banner, the film will have music by the composer, who will be joining hands for the first time with his father, Ilaiyaraaja.

Meanwhile, sources close to us have revealed that production on Maamanithan is already underway at Theni near Madurai, Tamil Nadu with Vijay Sethupathi said to be playing the role of an auto driver and cinematography being handled by Bairavaa and the upcoming Varmaa fame, Sukumar.

Vijay Sethupathi as an auto driver in Maamanithan now joins the ranks of stars namely ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth, who essayed the same in the blockbuster, Baasha, and ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay in Vettaikaaran.
