Exams postpone Pattalam’s release

Thirupathi Brothers production Pattalam – which is about a bunch of school friends and their coming of age – was supposed to release this month but has been postponed until April. Producers Subash Chandra Bose and Linguswamy arrived at this decision because Pattalam is bound to attract school-going teenagers, who will be busy in February and March preparing for their Board exams; the thoughtful producers did not want their film to distract them from studies! Now Pattalam will release in first or second week of April and serve as a refreshing treat for many teenagers during their summer holidays.

Most movies about adolescents show their struggles to cope up with sudden emotional and physical changes, but Pattalam will be different, says director Rohan Krishna. Starring a bunch of newcomers and Nathiya in a prominent role, Pattalam is a fun movie partly inspired by the serial "Kanaa Kaanum Kalangal" on Vijay TV, and promises to deliver ten times more fun!

PS: Comedian Pandu’s son Guru debuts in this film as hero.
