It has been a week since the decade long HBO fantasy series, Game of Thrones concluded. The Indian television tycoon, Ekta Kapoor recently compared the fantasy drama to the popular Hindi television show, Naagin. She stated that there are various similarities between the international show and Naagin akin to the usage of mythological creatures and resurrecting a character.
She was also skeptical that people are watching dragons on screen, but when Indians watch Naagin, they are looked down upon. Ekta Kapoor added that just as the Indian TV shows, Game of Thrones also used the tof bringing back the dead with Jon Snow's character. She even continued to go on that abducting, murder, resurrection etc., are the turn of events implied in both the shows, that leads to higher show ratings.
Furthermore, on the release date of Avengers: Endgame, Colors TV channel compared Naagin to the Avengers franchise's mammoth film, Avengers: Endgame. It landed to a lot of trolling throughout the internet. Sukran, Samurai heroine, Anita Hassnandani, responded to the trolls saying it is a huge thing to have a finale for a TV show and that she was glad to be a part of this huge franchise.
