Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is exclusively scheduled to hit the screens on May 6. All the fans and the internet are surging with excitement to see their favorite Master of the Mystic Arts face new challenges and various versions of himself. Marvel Entertainment just recently released a new featurette of the movie across various platforms. The video features insights from the main cast including Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, and Benedict Wong as well as director Sam Raimi, who is back to make another superhero film nearly 15 years after helming the notable Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire. They collectively discuss the film’s larger scale, different realities, darker tone, unexpected surprises that they have got waiting for the audience, and what to expect from this multiverse story.

"It's pretty unfathomably exciting where we're going in this film. It's the most fantastic new phase of Marvel. It's got a sort of darker tone to it and with Sam Raimi at the helm, you know he's a master of that.", says Benedict Cumberbatch about the movie, while Elizabeth Olsen adds, "In this story, we are leaping into different universes. But unlocking the multiverse creates a big Pandora's box". Actor Benedict Wong goes on to say, "We're in unknown territory. I think audiences are going to be startled. These other realities invite a plethora of all these new characters". Director Sam Raimi reveals, "Telling this story was such a gigantic endeavor. It had to be large because it had to not only paint a picture of our universe but of multiple universes. It was a great opportunity to pair two of the most powerful Super Heroes together". He adds, "We wanted the fans to go, 'Oh, how cool!' I mean that really was our goal. We wanted to give the fans what they wanted, just not exactly what they expected".

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and is the sequel to 2016's Doctor Strange and the 28th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Apart from the main cast, the film also stars Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Xochitl Gomez, and Michael Stuhlbarg. In the film, Strange and his allies travel into the multiverse to face a mysterious new nemesis.
