Things seem to finally be looking up for ace comedian Vadivelu. After being in and out of movies because of his Red Card controversy, Vadivelu has not been seen in too many movies of late. Earlier today, we had announced that he might be roped in by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan to star alongside him in the much talked about upcoming movie Thalaivan Irukkindran. Following right on the heels of this news is another update.

Our sources in the industry reveal that Vadivelu has been signed up by director Suraaj to star in a new movie. Earlier, there were talks of this duo coming together for a web-series, however as that did not materialise, the two are going to come together for a new movie. We hear that the script has been locked but the production house and the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be zeroed in on. An official announcement regarding this can be expected, within a week's time.

Director Suraaj's last venture was the 2016 Vishal & Tamannaah starrer Kaththi Sandai, which also had Vadivelu in an important role. However, during the promotions of this movie, some sexist comments made by Suraaj got him severe backlash from all quarters, especially heroines. Suraaj's movies are known for their humour content and with Vadivelu coming on board, we can expect a full-length comedy ride along the lines of the comedy portions from one of their earlier movies - Thalai Nagaram.
