Atlee's track record with 'Thalapathy' Vijay has been nothing else than truly magical as each of their films have reaped in the moolah for their producers. Towards the end of December last year, Vijay had met Atlee at his office in Chennai, with a video of the superstar walking out of the premises going viral on social media. Although it is unknown to this date what the meeting was about, it led to a new round of debate among fans that the duo could have possibly discussed coming together for another project in the future.

As of now, Vijay is fresh off the success of his mega blockbuster, Master, under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction, with the actor set to begin shooting next for the tentatively titled Thalapathy 65, which will be directed by Kolamaavu Kokila fame Nelson Dilipkumar, who as well is currently awaiting the release of his Doctor in May with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. With Thalapathy 65 being produced by Sun Pictures already in pre-production stages, all sights will next be on who will turn director for Thalapathy 66, with Atlee among other big names speculated to be in contention.
