After his latest release D-Block which opened to mixed reviews, Arulnithi is now awaiting the release of his upcoming film Diary. Written and directed by debutant director Innasi Pandiyan and produced by S. Kathiresan under the banner of Five Star Creations LLP and co-produced by Sekar Babu, the film stars Aadukalam Kishore, Jayaprakash, Sha Ra, Isaiaruvi anchor Thanigai, and Dhanam of YouTube channel Nakkalites fame. Pavithra Marimuthu, a Singapore- based doctor, will be making her film debut as the female lead in Diary.

The makers of the film just dropped the film's trailer and it is intense. It seems to be of the thriller genre. From the trailer, one can speculate that the film is to deal with cases of mysterious accidents that seem to occur in one specific area with no evidence of explanation behind it. Therefore, Arulnithi's character is put on the case. What follows is a bumpy ride filled with ominous vibes, heaps of suspense and promises an edge of the seat thriller.

Earlier, Innasi Pandiyan has spoken about the film revealing that, “Diary is an investigative thriller, but there’s more to it than just that. Arulnithi is playing a cop and it will be different from what he has previously done. We wrapped up the shooting in February. We shot the film in Ooty, Coonoor, Kotagiri, Coimbatore, and Chennai. Unlike other thrillers that use a hill station just for the eerieness, Diary’s story itself demands such as backdrop. It will be an edge-of-the-seat thriller with many twists and turns.”

This is Arulnithi's third film of the year as after D-Block, he recently starred in Arvindh Srinivasan's thriller Deja Vu which opened to mixed reviews. On the technical side of things, Diary will have its music composed by Ron Ethan Yohann, lyrics written by Gnanakaravel, cinematography handled by Aravinnd Singh, and editing by SP Raja Sethupathi.
