Bollywood actress Dia Mirza is known among Tamil cinema fans for starring in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, the Hindi remake of the smash hit, Minnale. Incidentally, RHTDM was her acting debut and also opposite Madhavan in 2001. Dia Mirza, who has of late been shuffling between her film and web series commitments took to her social media earlier today to announce her separation from her husband, Sahil Sangha, after being married for over four years. The couple entered wedlock in October 2014 and had known each other for several years prior to their marriage. In a detailed note on her social networking pages, the popular star’s note read, "After 11 years of sharing our lives and being together, we have mutually decided to separate." Sahil Sangha too had taken to his Instagram page to share the same statement announcing their separation from each other.

On the professional front, Dia Mirza was last seen in Ranbir Kapoor’s smash hit Bollywood blockbuster, Sanju, released last year and had major starring roles in web series shows like Kaafir and Mind the Malhotras this year. Apart from her work in films and in ventures on the digital platform, Dia Mirza has also been involved with community service and activism and, was appointed as UN Environment's Goodwill Ambassador for India. Furthermore, she has been recognized for her contribution to environmental conservation by the United Nations alongside popular Hollywood superstars Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Angelina Jolie, Katy Perry and Emma Watson.
