The much awaited teaser of Dhanush's Karnan has been released and it looks highly promising and intense. The teaser transports us into the world of Karnan, created by director Mari Selvaraj. The treatment looks quite different from the mainstream films and that indeed tells you that Karnan is going to stand out, as a whole film. The teaser builds up to a scenario where the whole village is waiting for Karnan's arrival and we get to see traces of his travel through silhouette shots. With a terrific background score from Santhosh Narayanan, Dhanush as Karnan arrives and the teaser gets a fitting end there. From what we see in the teaser, it looks like Karnan is the voice of his people, someone who stands for them and fights for their basic rights.

We don't get to see who is on the opposite side of Karnan and we will have to wait until the film's release to know about it. The other interesting and highlight aspect of the teaser is its visuals - shot by cinematographer Theni Eswar. The teaser is definitely exciting and it has hyped up the expectations of the audience - due credits to editor Selva RK. Director Mari Selvaraj brings a certain flavour of rawness through his treatment and it looks very interesting to watch. When you have a strong performer like Dhanush, you can sit back and be assured of the quality of the final product.

Like his debut film Pariyerum Perumal, Mari Selvaraj seems to have taken up a socially relevant topic in Karnan as well. Post the film's release, we can expect several discussions and debates to happen among the people. The teaser will surely make some loud noise on social media. The teaser has been released on the official YouTube channel of Think Music who owns the film's audio rights. Produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu under the banner of V Creations, the film features popular Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan as the female lead. Yogi Babu, Lal, Natty aka Natraj, Gouri Kishan, Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli play supporting roles. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on April 9 and it is expected to take a very good opening at the box office. With a good buzz surrounding the film, let us hope that it turns out to be a big success at the box office.
