Today, September 8th is a sad day in the lives of yesteryear heroine Devayani and talented actor Nakhul's lives. Their mother Lakshmi Jaidev breathed her last, early today morning. Lakshmi, who was said to be around 70, was reportedly not keeping well for the past few days. Devayani and Nakhul had lost their father Jaidev Betarpet, in January 2018. He was 73, when he breathed his last.

Nakhul made quite a splash when he debuted in movies as one of the five heroes in director Shankar's highly acclaimed Boys. He then went on to give quite a few hit movies like Vallinam, Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, Kadhalil Vizhundhen, Tamilukku En Ondrai Azhuthavum and such. Devayani was one of the top actresses in her peak and post marriage to director-turned-actor Rajkumar, she moved away from the silver screens and turned her attention to the small screens. She was one of the first wave of cinema heroines to take the world of Television by storm and has been a part of many superhit mega-serials as well as reality shows.
