A film that has been carrying massive expectations right from the moment of its announcement, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Darbar’s third schedule is underway at Mumbai under director A. R. Murugadoss. Composer Anirudh Ravichander is returning to score music for a Rajinikanth film after delivering chartbuster songs in Petta earlier this year. Being produced by Lyca Productions, Darbar has been announced for a Pongal 2020 release and will see Rajinikanth paired opposite Nayanthara for the fourth time after the reigning actress starred in Chandramukhi, Kuselan and Sivaji. With the first look poster and two separate stills from the film received a stupendous response from fans, the makers have now released the Darbar second look poster on the occasion of Onam. Darbar will see Rajinikanth as a top ranking police official while the film’s antagonist, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is said to be playing the role of a head of a multinational corporation. The film is quite special considering Rajinikanth is donning the khakhi in the role of a police officer after a gap of 28 years when he played a cop in Pandyan. Cinematographer Santosh Sivan too is working in a Rajinikanth film after Thalapathi in 1991 and is one who has been constantly updating fans on the various developments in the film. Apart from Rajinikanth, Darbar has Prateik Babbar also in a negative role followed by Yogi Babu for the comedy among others.
