Production on various films and television production ventures world over suffered a major setback over the past two months after the coronavirus pandemic. The situation in Tamil Nadu too has been no different as production on several films and television programs in various stages were put on an indefinite halt after the nationwide lockdown was imposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 25, which will be coming to an end on May 31. With relaxations being given on numerous fronts, the Tamil Nadu government has now decided to give permission for television production alone to resume once again in the state. Shooting on a full scale will commence on all our favorite TV programs once again in the days ahead.

Tamil Nadu government on Thursday issued authorization for television production across the state to resume with a few madnatory conditions that need to be adhered to. The government has stated that production on all television programs must not take place in coronavirus containment zones across the state while shooting in open public places has also been banned. Instructions have also been given out to all to not carry shooting in front of the public or allow any spectators to witness the production of the programs in a studio or closed space environment.

TN govt has also made it mandatory for masks to be worn by all technicians during the production excluding the actors and actresses while shooting a particular scene or a shot. All transporation vehicles and properties being used for shooting purposes are required to be compulsorily sprayed with disinfectants and cleansed on a regular basis. Any individual associated with the television production of a program, who shows signs of cold or fever,should not be permitted at the shooting location.
