The entire world is battling the deadly COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic and an official cure has still not been found for this outbreak. Many countries are battling to find a vaccine or a cure and some consider Convalescent Plasma Therapy to be a possible cure! Convalescent Plasma Therapy means using of the antibodies found in the Plasma from the blood of the patients who have recovered from the COVID virus, to treat the infected people. The Union Health Ministry has reiterated that this therapy is at an experimental stage and that there is no conclusive evidence yet, that it can be used as a treatment for COVID-19! 

Contrasting reports on Plasma Therapy against COVID in Maharashtra

Maharashtra, the first Indian state to register over 10,000 COVID positive cases in the country, has trialled the Convalescent Plasma Therapy treatment on a patient. This trial happened at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. However, there have been contrasting reports on the outcome. Some reports state that the person this Therapy was trialled on - a 53-year-old-man, has now passed away, after not responding to treatment. However, quite contrasting reports state that the trial was successful and that the Maharashtra Health authorities are planning to try similar treatment on another patient at the BYL Nair Hospital, in Mumbai.
