Chiyaan Vikram's Mahaan is set to release on February 10 and we are less than a week away from witnessing the film. Mahaan will have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video and the fans are eagerly looking forward to the same. Mahaan will have Vikram sharing screen space with his real life son Dhruv for the first time and the duo's casting equation is the USP of the movie. Produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio, this film is directed by Karthik Subbaraj. As part of the film's promotions, Chiyaan Vikram was interviewed and the interaction was quite an interesting one with lots of takeaways.

During the chat, Vikram was asked the reason behind saying yes to Mahaan and the star actor had an interesting reply. Here is what he had to say. "Karthik and I decided to work together, even before he did Petta and Dhanush's film, Jagame Thandhiram. He said he will do the Rajini film and get back to our project and so we parted ways and got busy with our respective works. When Dhruv decided to take up acting, both of us had already decided that we wouldn't act together, at least for the next ten years as it doesn't make sense.

I was doing Cobra and the producer of that film (Lalit Kumar) told me that Karthik has a script of a father-son relationship. Since we were already supposed to team up, I immediately called Karthik for the narration and I really loved the script. In fact, I loved Dhruv's character more than I mine. Dhruv's character was at the top of the heap. I just asked Karthik to tweak some portions in the story and he came up with something great. I have always wanted to work with him and be a part of his world and it has happened with Mahaan", said Vikram. You can watch Chiyaan Vikram's full interview through the video below:
