Thala Ajith's much-awaited biggie Nerkonda Paarvai is the official remake of the critically acclaimed Hindi film Pink starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. The courtroom drama film is written and directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor under his production banner Bayview Projects and Zee Studious. With Ajith, Nerkonda Paarvai has Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Rangaraj Pandey and Adhik Ravichandran in important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the film.
Nerkonda Paarvai hit the screens on Thursday (August 8th) and the film has opened well and is receiving some good response from the critics and the fans as well. Nerkonda Paarvai has also given a new box-office record for Thala Ajith as the movie collected an approximate of Rs 1.58 Crore in Chennai city which is the highest for an Ajith film and the fourth-highest for a Tamil film ever. Ajith's previous best was his 2017 film Vivegam which collected Rs 1.21 Crore in Chennai city. The box office number has come out in a way of putting away the rumours that Nerkonda Paarvai's business was dull and the advance booking was low. Thala Ajith has once again proved his metal at the box-office and has given hope for many that a content-driven film can also make big numbers.
